My name is Jennifer & this is my partner, Leo. I post under the name "Silver". I bought Leo in 2006, three years after a riding accident left me with a poor memory of the event but a great fear of cantering. Leo was rising 5 when I bought him and an uncut, non-breeding stallion. His previous owner had done almost nothing with him & had forbidden the farm owner to "play" with his stallion. Leo's life was his stall or alone in a round pen when he could have time in it. After I bought (& gelded) a depressed Leo, I sent him to a trainer closer to my home where I could also get a weekly riding lesson on my new horse. I started doing Parelli with Leo 2 years ago and our bond has grown. Dec. 2008, I had another rider at the barn give me cantering lesson on the lunge line. I am happily cantering now and working on getting his 'not favourite' left lead. We playing in Level 2 of Parelli & I'm also having fun thinking of weird trail obstacles to challenge Leo with. Leo is out 24/7 with horsey friends and loves to play. I am lucky to have found him!
