So last night I got on my horse for the first time in 1.5 weeks after a lesson where both my instructor and I had a difficult time just getting him to pay attention. I figured I was in for a doozy. He proved me 100% wrong, he was absolutely great. He stopped w/out pulling or pressure, he jogged, he sped up when asked, and we even did one downward transition from trot to walk with just seat and voice command... it was AWESOME! I really felt like things just clicked last night, such a lovely change!

Oh, Izabella, I know that feeling - that wonderful feeling when everything just falls into place! Of course, in my case, its usually just a crumb that he throws to me and then it seems I can never duplicate it again!

But that feeling, oh that feeling just doesn't go away. Who needs drugs? That is the best high there is!

Way to go!!!!

Thanks all! There really isn't much anything better than making a solid connection with your horse and knowing you're in it together. Love it!
