Hi! I'm the "mom" to a 16-year-old chestnut Thoroughbred gelding named "Lucky F," but we just call him "Red." He's a big boy, standing at somewhere between 16.2 and 16.3 hands! He was a rescue, and he was a little skinny when I got him, but he's gained a lot of weight and looks great now. He has done three-day eventing in the past, and has competed up through the Novice level. Before that, he was a racehorse and he won over $130,000! I'm a hunt-seat instructor, and I'm hoping to begin using Red for lessons at some point in the not too distant future. He has a very sweet personality, and he loves to be ridden! However, I had a really bad fall at the canter about ten years ago, so I'm still trying to work through some residual fear from that event. I used to love cantering, but now it just makes me nervous. Red supposedly has a very smooth canter, so I'm hoping he can help me get over my fear of cantering. Wish me luck! ~RedsMom
